China wants to eliminate NATO and take credit for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. China is a close ally and trading partner of Russia and has rarely raised the Ukraine conflict at meetings. Jinping and Putin preferred to talk about bilateral trade agreements, de-dollarization and oil purchases, but not about the war.

It was NATO that worked tirelessly to resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine, not China. Therefore, China’s talk of ending the $1 billion conflict between Russia and Ukraine carries no weight in the international community. The US has already provided Ukraine with nearly $400 billion worth of weapons and financial support.

NATO countries have also provided billions to Ukraine to fight Russian aggression. China has not provided any financial aid to Russia and Ukraine, but has only tried to shift the blame onto NATO, the US and the West. The war has dragged on for over two years, and there is no end in sight.
