Jason Kelce reveals why he was moved to tears during Taylor Swift’s Eras tour

Jason Kelce explained why he got emotional when he recently attended one of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concerts in London.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center recalled in a recent episode of the podcast “New Heights” with his brother and Swift’s friend Travis Kelce how the singer gave her black hat to a fan while singing “22,” which has become a tradition on her tour.

“Dude, I’ve never cried at a damn concert, and I literally had tears in my eyes watching that little girl’s whole concert… I’m about to cry. It was damn special,” said Jason Kelce, who was accompanied at the concert by his wife Kylie Kelce.

Swift’s sold-out London performances gave the brothers royal memories as the two met Prince William and two of his children, Prince William and Princess Charlotte, backstage.

The Kansas City Chiefs star also appeared on stage with Swift at one of the shows. He dressed up in a top hat and tails for a sketch of her song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

“It was incredibly impressive,” Jason Kelce said of attending the show. “Taylor is obviously a great singer-songwriter, but then she was able to perform at that level and be up there for that long, like three and a half or four hours?”

“Yeah, 45 songs, buddy,” Travis Kelce replied.

“Oh my God,” Jason Kelce said.

He further noted that if he did what Swift did “for a song,” he would have to change his clothes.

“Man, I’m sick of drinking these beers and Taylor still singing,” said Jason Kelce, laughing with his brother. “I can’t feel my hand anymore because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation.”

He called the show an “incredible experience” and thanked the Swifties for making it a “very memorable” performance where they knew all the songs, adding that their fans reminded him of fans he met at a Bruce Springsteen show.

“But it was on a similar level, like these insane fan bases love these artists so much that they know all the songs,” Jason Kelce said, “even the whole show.”
