gaiia raises Series A financing led by Inovia Capital

MONTREAL, June 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — gaiia, the innovative operating system specifically designed for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), has successfully raised $13.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Inovia Capital with participation from new investors GTMfund, General Advance, Simon De Baene and Manon Brouillette (former CEO of Videotron and Verizon Consumer Group), and existing investor YCombinator. This fresh funding will enable gaiia to expand and serve customers in North America, Europe and Latin America.

ISPs are the backbone of the global economy, providing the basic infrastructure that connects people worldwide. Despite their important role, the telecommunications industry has the lowest Net Promoter Score (NPS) of any industry, revealing significant gaps in customer satisfaction and service delivery. As a result, average annual churn rates at ISPs can reach 20% or more.1For this reason, reducing customer churn is a top priority for ISPs and is partly the reason for the aggressive war of marketing campaigns aimed at stealing new subscribers from their competitors.

Marc-André Campagna, CEO and co-founder of gaiia, highlighted the transformative potential of this funding for ISPs: “We are at the beginning of this new paradigm shift, where today’s challengers will become tomorrow’s market leaders. New innovative technologies – and capital – are now more accessible than ever for ISPs to deliver high-quality networks to their customers at a lower cost. gaiia will give them superpowers to take care of their community.”

gaiia addresses the outdated and expensive systems that many ISPs rely on by providing a comprehensive operating system that improves customer experience and operational efficiency. The platform includes a suite of tools such as marketing automation, messaging, online checkout, CRM, appointment scheduling, and field service management. These features enable ISPs to acquire and retain customers while reducing operational costs through advanced automated features.

“We believe gaiia offers a concrete solution to established and emerging ISPs looking to redefine what operational excellence looks like,” said Inovia partner Magaly Charbonneau. “With strong market dynamics and a team that knows firsthand the pain points of running an ISP, we are excited to be part of their story and support them on their journey.”
