Meghan Markle wrote Taylor Swift a “personal letter,” but her proposal was “rejected”

Taylor Swift was recently spotted having a great time with Prince William, despite previously turning down an offer to collaborate with Meghan Markle.

The heir to the throne was seen busting out a few quick dance moves at Taylor’s performance on the ‘Eras Tour’ at Wembley Stadium on Friday night before being escorted backstage for a special rendezvous with the chart-topper.

William was accompanied at the exciting meeting by his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who all took a happy selfie with Taylor; her partner Travis Kelce was also seen in the photo.

This friendly interaction is the exact opposite of the cold shoulder Meghan Markle received when she tried to persuade Taylor to participate in her Archetypes podcast with a “personal letter.”

Meghan reportedly contacted Taylor last year to get her on the Archetypes podcast, but Taylor declined the invitation. According to The Telegraph, Meghan wrote a “personal letter” to Taylor asking her to join Archetypes, “but the singer declined through a representative.”

In “Archetypes,” which ran for one season on Spotify, Meghan hosted 12 episodes with celebrity guests such as Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Jameela Jamil.

Meghan’s podcast was axed by Spotify, sparking controversy when it was revealed that Meghan and Prince Harry had been removed from the platform. A senior Spotify employee is said to have slammed the royal couple, calling them “f***ing frauds.”

Meghan Markle has now partnered with Lemonada Media, which has already launched the first series of her podcast Archetypes, and she is preparing to launch a new podcast with them next year.

Earlier this year, Meghan expressed her excitement for the new project, saying, “I’m proud to now announce that I’m joining the amazing team at Lemonada to continue pursuing my love of podcasting.”

“Being able to support a woman-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to start 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so more people can access it and launch a dynamic new podcast is well underway. I can’t wait to share it with you soon and am beyond excited to join the Lemonada family.”
