NJPW star rejects Chris Jericho, issues big challenge instead – TJR Wrestling

It seems that a NJPW star has no interest in sitting under the Learning Tree as they have challenged Chris Jericho to a major challenge.

For weeks now, Chris Jericho has been sharing his wisdom as AEW’s Learning Tree to anyone who will listen and anyone who won’t listen. The FTW Champion has brought Big Bill and Bryan Keith into the Jericho Vortex as he continues to have problems with HOOK.

HOOK was not alone in his fight against the man who defeated him for the FTW Title, as he found like-minded allies in former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata.

These six men are scheduled to face off in a trios match at Forbidden Door, but due to an injury to Bryan Keith, Jericho is looking for a third man. At Dynamite in Buffalo, Chris Jericho revealed that he had asked a former Forbidden Door partner to join him while playing a video of NJPW’s resident madman Minoru Suzuki.

However, when the video was played, Suzuki did not accept Jericho’s offer, but told him that he wanted nothing to do with The Learning Tree and instead challenged Jericho for his FTW Title.

With Suzuki turning down Jericho’s offer, it remains to be seen who will team up with The Learning Tree and Big Bill at Forbidden Door.

At Dynamite, The Elite also delivered a big trios match for Forbidden Door, with Kazuchika Okada facing a very familiar rival.
