Bass admitted that his journey also took about five years and that the couple needed ten donors.

“Nobody understands that emotional journey,” the former *NSYNC star said. “Because, you know, it took almost five years to have our children, and I don’t know how many times you’ve been able to get pregnant, but we were, you know, pregnant with twins a couple of years ago and we lost one at three weeks and one at six weeks.”

“We had 10 different donors and we didn’t get pregnant 10 times, but you know, when you choose a donor, those are the emotional moments you experience,” Bass admitted, adding, “Every time one doesn’t work out, it’s just so depressing.”

He continued, “You think, ‘God, we have to start over again,’ and if that hadn’t happened the last time, I don’t think we would have tried again. I thought that was the universe saying, you know what, you’re not supposed to have kids,” later adding, “but you know, you’re supposed to have what you’re supposed to have.”
