INEOS wants to trigger a crucial transfer window by approving the departure of numerous regular players.

A report from the Manchester Evening News yesterday revealed that players such as Donny van de Beek, Hannibal Mejbri, Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could leave the club this summer, with the latter already in talks over a possible move to Galatasaray.

Fans were baffled when a Turkish media outlet claimed United would accept a transfer fee of just £5.9 million to sign the right-back, £44 million less than the £50 million they paid for him in 2019.

Wan-Bissaka could leave Old Trafford but stay in the Premier League

Now Wan-Bissaka apparently has a choice between two potential suitors, as The Times has revealed that West Ham United “revived their interest” in a deal for the 26-year-old, who is “surplus” by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co.

Should he stay for another year, Wan-Bissaka will have to settle for playing second fiddle to Diogo Dalot. It is clear that the Portuguese star is Erik ten Hag’s first choice in that position, although both received almost equal playing time last season as they alternated between injured left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Meanwhile, West Ham chiefs are now acting in line with the wishes of new manager Julen Lopetegui. He had already shown interest in the United defender during his time at Molineux last winter, so it is no surprise that he is considering a deal ahead of his first season in charge of the Irons.
