The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces have launched an attack on Israeli military positions in the north of the 1948-occupied territories in retaliation for a deadly attack on a town in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese television channel Al-Manar reported, citing a statement from Hezbollah, that the resistance group attacked the gatherings of Israeli soldiers and their logistics in the city of Metula on Wednesday morning with a squadron of combat drones.

The statement added that the attack had hit the intended targets precisely.

Hezbollah said the operation was in retaliation for an Israeli drone strike that killed a car in the southern Lebanese town of Borgholiya.

Lebanese media identified the victim as Mohammed Yousef al-Hassan, a Palestinian refugee living in the Qasimia camp near the Tyre district.

Previously, Hezbollah rockets had hit an Israeli military factory.

Hezbollah said its Falaq (twilight) rockets hit the Plasan facility in Kibbutz Sasa, about three kilometers from the Israeli-Lebanese border.

Plasan reportedly manufactures products and components to protect vehicles and also operates factories in France and the US. The company says that much of its goods are exported to the US military.

In retaliation for the regime’s aggression against Lebanon and in solidarity with the Palestinians, Hezbollah carries out almost daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions.

In the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, at least 37,372 Palestinians have been killed so far, mostly women and children.

According to a count by the AFP news agency, at least 455 people were killed on the Lebanese border, including more than 80 civilians.

Two wars waged by Israel against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 met with strong resistance from Hezbollah and led to the regime’s withdrawal in both conflicts.
