Nashville singer-songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey is said to have been found dead after her disappearance

Nashville singer and songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey is reportedly dead. The Nashville singer had been missing for several days since she disappeared early Sunday morning.

In a Facebook post, one of Kathey’s colleagues posted a statement from Kathey’s producer and manager. The statement read, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Terri Lynn Kathy has returned home to God. We have known each other for 35 years. Terri Lynn allowed us to produce her last album, Bad Blues Good News, and to use us as her management company and record label. Terri had the kindest heart and wanted to spread God’s word through her music. We will forever miss her beautiful smile and inspiration. She leaves behind her husband, Kevin Kathey, and her two daughters, Lisa and Karole. Her love for God, music and life will be remembered through her music for generations to come. We love you Terri Lynn, sing with God’s angels. Thank you to everyone who helped us spread the word. Please pray with us.”

Likewise, a friend of Kathey said that police found the singer dead in her car. She wrote: “I just heard that Terri Lynn Blues was found dead in her car near Monteagle, Tennessee today. Possibly a heart attack.” That’s all we know at this time, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

Terri Lynn Kathey has disappeared

Efforts were made to find Kathey safe and sound. Her friend reported that the singer left early Sunday morning and disappeared after breakfast. Kathey’s family and friends asked for information about her whereabouts.

They wrote: “Her husband Kevin just called and no one has heard from her in 24 hours. They own a courier company and she left home at 4:30am Sunday morning and went shopping at Hardee’s on Elm Hill Pike in Nashville, TN at 6:30am. No one has seen or heard from her since. If you have seen her please call Nashville Police or contact me and I will contact her husband Kevin. This is very concerning, she and Kevin were just on our live stream last Tuesday night sharing the gospel in music and song. Please pray!!”

It’s a sad ending to this story, but Kathey’s friends and family will remember her for her passion and love of music. In addition to music, Kathey also had a deep passion for religious works and was a supporter of the military.
