BON SCOTT Estate celebrates the 78th birthday of the legendary AC/DC singer

Mark what the late AC / DC Singer’s 78th birthday, the Bon Scott Estate launches a series of high-profile activities to celebrate the icon’s life and music.

On the actual birthday (July 9), there will be a tribute concert at Arlene’s Grocery in New York’s Lower East Side. The infamous rock club has hosted some of the wildest rock’n’roll nights of the 21st century, and the show will commemorate the secret set that AC / DC performed at CBGB in 1977. 16 singers will each perform a classic AC / DC Song with an excellent backing band.

There is also a concerted promotion on US terrestrial and satellite radio, with presenters wishing Bon a happy birthday and playing one or more of his classic performances, such as “Highway to Hell”, “It’s a long way to the top (if you want rock’n’roll)” And “Dirty deeds done dirt cheaply”.

Thanks to the winery’s long-standing merchandising partner Perryscope Productionsthere are brand new collaborations with Gordon Nicolson Kiltmaker And Dixxon Flannel Company from the two newly founded and registered Bon Scott Tartans (Heritage and Touring) celebrating his roots in Scotland and his birthplace of Kerriemuir.

Dixon will use the tartans to create their signature flannel shirts, in a similar collaboration to their METALLICA And MEGADETH Shirts and the GNK The line will include made-to-order kilts, vests and trousers, as well as accessories such as lambswool scarves and wraps, similar to the collaboration with XBOX in 2022.

In addition, brand new figures will soon be available on collectors’ shelves near you from Ankle Bonz And Super7which already drafts based on the 1979 “Highway to Hell” Tour. The new designs will be reminiscent of the year 1975 and Good‘s leopard vest (Super7) and the outfit (with bagpipes!) worn in the promo clip for the pickup truck “It’s a long way to the top (if you want rock’n’roll)” (Ankle Bonz). Release dates for both will be announced later.

These follow hot on the heels of the ultimate collector’s item honoring a citizen of the British Empire — a unique proof coin from the Perth Mint with Good on the one hand and King Charles on the other.

Just in time for the birthday, two new online shops are launching, one at Amazon in the USA and the other in Merch Jungle in Australia, making it easier and more affordable for fans to get their favorite singer’s merchandise. Amazon Stores continue to open around the world. Bon ScottThe e-commerce and merchandising program is managed by Perryscope Productions, LLC.

To celebrate the birthday, a brand new merch design will be launched by a renowned Australian graphic artist David Homer.

44 years after his early death, the music that Bon Scott helped with AC / DC continues to resonate with fans and fellow artists, as a FOO FIGHTERS/Jack Black Cover of “Big Balls” from Auckland, New Zealand in January 2024.

Few rock singers have been as unforgettable – and have proven to be as enduring – as Bon ScottAs frontman of AC / DC From 1974 until his tragic death in 1980 (at the age of 33), his “rock’n’roll pirate persona,” his street-poetry lyrics, and his striking image (he was one of the first rockers to proudly display multiple tattoos) made him an absolute legend. In addition, Good‘s singing was in several pre-AC / DC Bands, including FRATERNITY, THE VALENTINE GROUP And THE SPECTORS.

But actually it is the quality of the songs of the Good Era of AC / DC which serve as his greatest legacy – “Highway to Hell”, “City of Sin”, “Lots of Rosie”, “Let there be rock”, “Dirty deeds done dirt cheaply”, “TNT” And “It’s a long way to the top (if you want rock’n’roll)”.

How does it work Good compete with the greatest rock frontmen of all time? Classic Rock The magazine declared him the “greatest rock n’ roll frontman of all time” in 2004, beating out greats like Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant And Axl Rose in process.
