Daryl Haskew will be giving a book signing on June 27

Author Daryl Haskew

Daryl Haskew, an author with roots in Grove Hill, will present his second book Portersville: Out of the shadows at the Grove Hill Public Library on June 27. The public is invited to meet him and purchase copies of the book, which will be on sale at the library that day. He will hold a raffle for free copies of his first book, Portersville.

Haskew’s father is the late Hoffman Haskew, who grew up in Grove Hill near Whatley. Hoffman’s sisters were the late Sue Coleman, Leona Patterson and Vivian Gordon.

The book was edited by Annell Gordon, the wife of Haskew’s cousin Steve Gordon. She will read passages from the book at the book signing.

The event will take place on June 27th from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can also order the book online.

Visit Haskew’s website www.Darylhaskew.com and click on “Order Book”. Select the book you want from the publisher’s bookstore — Portersville or Portersville: Out of the Shadows. Fill out the order form and you will receive an e-book immediately. The softcover version will be sent within two to four working days.
