Neil Young cancels remainder of ‘Love Earth Tour’ with Crazy Horse due to illness of ‘A Couple of Us’ | Neil Young | Just Jared: Celebrity news and gossip

Neil Young has sad news for the fans.

On Wednesday (26 June), the 78-year-old musician announced that he would spend the rest of his The Love Earth Tour with his long-standing support group Crazy Horse due to an illness that has affected “some of us” since their last performance in May. Neil did not disclose whether he was one of those infected.

The Love Earth Tour has been a great experience for us so far. Great audience and great music. We had a lot of fun!” Neil And Crazy Horse wrote on their website. “When some of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob, we had to stop.”

Read on to find out more…The last time Neil and the group played a show at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan over a month ago on May 22nd.

“We are not fully recovered yet, so unfortunately our amazing tour will be taking a big unplanned break,” the statement continued. “We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again! We know many of you have made travel plans and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and patience.”

Neil And Crazy Horse concluded by saying, “Health comes first…We want to stay and make more shows and albums for you…and for us…With love and thanks to all of you at Crazy Horse…Neil, Micah, Ralph and Billy…Love Earth.”

While they did not specify how long their hiatus will be, their seven shows in Canada in July were cancelled, along with the group’s performances at the Hollywood Bowl, the Southern California Ohana Fest hosted by Eddie Vedderand Kentucky’s Bourbon & Beyond Festivalwhich were all planned for the end of September, were cancelled.
