A match for Chris Jericho was announced for the upcoming AEW Forbidden Door 2024 pay-per-view when an in-ring announcement went wrong.

Several new matches have been confirmed for AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view this Sunday, June 30, including one featuring an appearance by the President.

While The Elite’s Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada continue to feud with The Acclaimed, a new trios match has been announced for AEW Forbidden Door.

The above mentioned members of The Elite will compete in a trios match against a special Forbidden Door pairing as The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) will team with NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Elsewhere on today’s AEW Dynamite, The Elite noted that they personally selected the wild card entrant for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

Also on Dynamite was another trio match seemingly is about to be revealed as Chris Jericho and Big Bill announced that they would replace the injured Bryan Keith at AEW Forbidden Door with a surprise match of Samoa Joe, HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata.

Her partner was supposed to be Minoru Suzuki, but in his reveal video for his appearance, Suzuki instead challenged Jericho to a one-on-one match at the pay-per-view for the FTW Title.

With Jericho and Bill still without a third partner, Samoa Joe, HOOK and Shibata came to the ring and their upcoming match ended in a brawl between the two sides. And speculation continues as to who among The Learning Tree will be the replacement for Bryan Keith, who is nursing an arm injury.
