According to ABC News, Taylor Casey’s family reported in a press release in the Facebook group “Find Taylor Casey” that the 41-year-old was last seen on June 19 at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

On June 21, the Royal Bahamas Police Force issued a missing person notice to alert tourists and locals to her disappearance.

“We are deeply concerned for Taylor’s safety and well-being,” said Casey’s mother, Colette Seymore, who traveled to Paradise Island and Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, on Tuesday to meet with local authorities about the search for her daughter. “I believe Taylor is in danger because she was eager to share her experiences at the yoga retreat with others when she returned. Taylor would never disappear like that.”

ABC describes Cases as “a light-skinned black female, approximately 5’10”, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.” The family is urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward, noting that “every lead is critical in their efforts to find her.”

Casey’s family said she has been practicing yoga for 15 years and was eager to return home after her trip to “share her newfound knowledge and experience with others.” We hope she returns home safely and urge everyone to help in the effort to bring her back to Chicago by contacting authorities with information or even just doing a little by sharing her missing person poster.

Prayers and take care out there, you good people.
