Despicable Me 4 has barely got to hit theaters before we know it’s going to be a hit with families. Fans will never get enough of Gru, and definitely never get enough of the Minions, especially when they can watch them in a dark, air-conditioned theater with others. Despicable Me Lovers. The franchise continues to delight fans with its humor, color, and sense of fun, and this time around, some pretty famous voices have been added to the roster that fans will recognize.

In the latest film, out July 3, Gru and the rest of the family welcome a new bundle of joy. Gru Jr. may be a joy to some, but certainly not to his father. The new baby seems intent on tormenting dear old dad, and life doesn’t get much easier when Gru’s arch-nemesis Maxime Le Mal breaks out of prison and vows to get revenge on the reformed villain with the help of his equally vengeful girlfriend. The family must flee, and any family of six knows that’s almost as bad as battling an arch-nemesis.

It’s going to be a wild ride and here’s a look at who’s voicing who in Despicable Me 4.

Steve Carell voices Gru

Steve Carell returns for the fourth time as the voice of Gru, and it is a role The office Star remains close to his heart, especially since he found that unique voice by practicing on his own children. “I used my children as a test for the character’s voice and it was the voice that made them laugh, so I used that,” the actor told NBC News.

Kristen Wiig voices Lucy Wilde

Saturday Night Live Kristen Wiig returns to voice Gru’s wife Lucy Wilde, who also happens to be his partner in the Anti-Villain League. The couple just had baby Gru Jr., and now Lucy will be busy dealing with her new motherhood and dealing with villains who force her to go on the run. Poor thing.

Will Ferrell voices Maxime Le Mal

Fellow comedian Will Ferrell, who also frequently collaborates with Carell, returns as the voice of evil mastermind Maxime Le Mal, a role he reprises thanks to his own three sons. “My kids say, ‘Oh no, Dad, you have to do that,’ without even knowing the premise or my character,” Ferrell told NBC Insider. “They’re so well done. The animation is incredible. The Minion collection is probably one of the greatest comedic characters of all time in a weird way.”
