Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” is expected to bring a significant economic boost to London; forecasts predict an inflow of £300 million (€355 million/$380 million) to the city’s economy.
Swift performed at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 22 and 23 and will return for five more shows in August. In total, the eight performances are expected to attract 700,000 fans, making London the city with the highest number of shows on her tour.
According to the Mayor of London’s office, the Eras Tour will bring a significant economic boost, with local businesses and the hospitality sector in particular benefitting from the influx of visitors.

A recent survey by Visit London, the city’s official guide, found that 54% of respondents would consider a trip to London specifically for music events, outperforming other global cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Paris, as well as other British cities.
The survey also found that 76% of respondents tend to extend their stay in London after attending a music event, suggesting a broader economic impact beyond immediate concert-related spending. In addition, 77% of participants recognized the variety of music events that London offers and 72% agreed that the city attracts top international artists.
“The Eras Tour has broken records and generated huge excitement, so I’m delighted that Taylor Swift has chosen to perform more nights in London than anywhere else in the world,” said London Mayor Sadiq Khan. “Her eight performances will bring nearly 700,000 fans from across the country and beyond to Wembley Stadium, giving our hospitality industry a huge boost and further proving that London is the greatest city in the world to experience live music.”
“The appeal of Taylor Swift’s London shows has been extraordinary and hospitality venues across the capital are ready to extend a warm welcome to fans travelling across the UK and further afield,” noted Kate Nicholls, managing director of UKHospitality. “With the Swifties taking part in the Eras Tour and boosting the capital’s economy by £300 million, I’m sure we’ll see a love story between fans and the world-leading hospitality we have here in London.”
Swift is scheduled to stop in various European cities including Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan and Warsaw before returning to London for her final five shows on August 15. The “Shake It Off” singer will then finish the tour with multi-date performances in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto before performing her final concert in Vancouver on December 8.
