Song from the perspective of an aborted baby tops the iTunes charts

This song might move you to tears!

Rachel Holt, an 18-year-old country singer from Indiana who now lives in Tennessee, released a song on Friday to celebrate the second anniversary of the overturning of the Roe v. Wade decision.

The song is sung from the perspective of a little girl in the womb and is titled “I Was Gonna Be”.

Chris Wallin, who has written songs for Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and many other big names in country music, wrote this song. In an interview with Breitbart News, he expressed that he was convinced that “something needed to be said” even though he “didn’t think anyone would ever actually sing (the song).”

After meeting Holt and receiving sponsorship from Patriot Mobil, Wallin and Holt recorded the song and released it on Baste Records, the music company where Wallin serves as A&R director.

With her current song “If my mom could only have seen my face, maybe she would have had me anyway,” Holt has caused a lot of discussion.

The breakthrough into the Top five In “Country Music” on iTunes, Holt beautifully sings the sad story of a little girl who was never born.

Holt has a strong pro-life stance and traditional values and told Breitbart that she felt girls her age weren’t listening to songs about “real life.” Baste Records was happy to help her share that authentic perspective.

In a video about Baste Records, one of their artists stated, “Hardworking, family-oriented and loving people have been pushed out of the industry for political and cultural reasons. What we want to do at Baste Records is change that.”

With such an incredible pro-life message, Baste Records has done exactly what they claim to do with the release of “I Was Gonna Be”.

Some are now calling this the new “pro-life anthem.”

At an Instagram post When the release of the song was announced, many expressed their gratitude for the news.

One commenter said, “If you’re thinking about having an abortion, listen to this song…play it on repeat. Have your baby and then listen to it again. You’ll be so proud of your decision.”

Another thanked Holt and commented: “Thank you for giving God your voice for the voiceless. So you think He has done amazing things in your life? You ain’t seen nothing yet!”

Some even expressed a wish that more artists would follow in Holt’s footsteps, saying, “Thank you for fighting for all babies… the world needs you more than ever. There are not many young women like you.”
