Williams Company and Tioga Golf Club host a charity challenge

NICHOLS, NY (WETM) – Many people enjoy playing golf, but wouldn’t it feel better to play for a good cause? Williams Company and Tioga Golf Club have organized a charity event.

The Williams Company asked all of its suppliers to donate money to 30 charities in the area.

These include the YMCA, Make a Wish, Arc of Yates, CAC, Food Bank, Serve Inc., TACO and more.

The goal is to raise $80,000 for this event. Activities that were organized included a chip into a pond, a putt to hit and win, and a ball launcher.

To ensure that the event ran smoothly, extensive preparations were necessary.

“It’s a pretty daunting task to have that many people playing golf at the same time, and we want the area and the course, the casino and also Williams to be well represented, so we strive to give them a great day,” says Jason Harris, Director of Golf Operations at Tioga Downs Casino.

The golfers had a lot of fun at the event. They were able to enjoy the nice weather with their colleagues and play a bit of golf.

So be sure to say four and enjoy the game and the weather!
