Poinciana is poised to make a major leap in local entertainment as it prepares to open its first movie theater. Thanks to Touchstar Cinemas, the community will soon experience a taste of cinematic luxury.

Touchstar Luxury Cinemas, a respected name in the movie theater industry, has secured the site for Poinciana’s first theater, Phase 2 of the Poinciana Towne Center on Doverplum Avenue, just north of the current Walmart Supercenter. The Orlando-based company completed the purchase on June 14 for approximately $3.4 million.

Touchstar Cinemas’ new location promises more than just movies. Known for its luxurious experience, guests can look forward to:

This development, which was first reported last year by Growth Spotternot only fills a significant gap in Poinciana’s entertainment offerings, but also promises to boost the local economy. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with a grand opening scheduled for mid-2025.
