Jason Kelce on emotions at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London

Jason Kelce got emotional while watching a performance during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

In a new episode of the podcast by him and his brother Travis Kelce New heights with Jason and Travis KelceThe former Philadelphia Eagles center recalled his performance with Swift in London and how one moment of the show actually moved him to tears.

“The 22 hat? Dude, I’ve never cried at a damn concert, and I literally had tears in my eyes watching that little girl’s whole concert… I’m about to cry. It was damn special.”

While singing her song “22,” Swift gives a viewer her coveted fedora hat and hugs him.

“She went for it, man. It was great,” added Travis, who is dating Swift. “Every single show she does that. And with the acoustic set, she makes every show unique.”

Jason called the acoustic portion of the show his “favorite part.” “It’s just her, a guitar and 90,000 people,” Jason said. “And she goes from one song to the next… To be good at just that in front of 90,000 people, I think you have to be incredible. And you have to have, number one, great songs and great lyrics that she obviously wrote and did. And number two, you have to be able to perform them seamlessly on the spot without hiding anything else, that was the highlight of the night for me.”

“It feels like you’re in a bar listening to someone play the piano,” he added.

“It was a great experience. The Swifties made it unforgettable,” Jason also said.

Jason and his wife Kylie attended the first two of Swift’s three nights at Wembley Stadium. On the third night, Swift and Travis surprised everyone when he appeared in a performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” Kelce did not speak about the performance on this week’s podcast episode.

Afterwards, Swift reflected on the show on Instagram, writing, “The first round at Wembley was so surreal. Looking out into a crowd of 90,000 fans every night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. The acoustic parts went GO. I got to sing ‘Castles Crumbling’ with @yelyahwilliams for the first time – I hadn’t performed with her since 2011 and man, my heart was just so full of love for her and our friendship. Then the incredibly talented and wonderful @graciabrams came on and surprised the crowd with the first performance of our song ‘us.'”

Of Kelce’s performance, Swift wrote: “And I’m still laughing my head off/blown away by @killatrav’s debut on the Eras Tour. I’ll never forget these shows.”
