Prince Jackson remembers his father.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, his son – whose full name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. – took the time to write a bittersweet tribute to the late artist.

“I miss you, dad,” the 27-year-old wrote in his Instagram story on June 25 over a photo of Jackson performing with his fans during the Super Bowl XXVII halftime show in 1993. “The world felt better with you.”

Prince – who was 12 at the time of Jackson’s death – also included the song “We Are The World,” written by “Thriller” singer Lionel Richie in 1985, in his post.

And Prince – the eldest of Jackson’s three children, who also include Paris (26) and Bigi (21) – was not the only family member to pay tribute to the King of Pop.

Jackie Jackson, Jackson’s eldest brother and member of the Jackson 5, also posted a message on social media. Under a black and white photo of himself with the young Jackson, the 73-year-old wrote: “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you. I miss you every day.”

Tito Jackson, the second oldest Jackson brother, also posted a tribute to his brother. Under a black and white portrait of Michael, the 70-year-old shared the hashtags “#15yearswithoutmichaeljackson #gonetoosoon #alwaysinourhearts #MJ4ever #missyoumuch #nowords”.

Prince had previously spoken openly about how he wanted to pay his last respects to his late father, who died of cardiac arrest on June 24, 2009.

“I have photos of him and the uncles in my house,” he told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in October 2022. “I have artistic paintings of him in my house. I like to live my life with love, that’s what he taught me, and I try to help at least one person a day, and I feel like this is a way to carry on his legacy.”

And soon, Jackson’s family, friends and fans will be able to follow his life in a new biopic called “Michael.” The film stars Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson and his ex-wife Alejandra Loaiza, the pop star himself.

And while the project was already underway, Prince recently gave an insight into the filming process.

“This project has brought so many special moments for me and everyone involved,” he captioned a Feb. 13 photo of Jaafar in costume. “Special thanks to my cousin @jaafarjackson. Watching you perform and bust your ass is the closest I’ll ever get to seeing my dad in concert and it’s a dream come true! I’m proud of you buddy!”
