For some reason, a naked Chris Martin doll is at Glastonbury

Coldplay will break a Glastonbury record on Saturday (June 29) by becoming the first band to headline the festival five times, after one savvy fan took it upon themselves to get the band’s attention during this year’s festivities.

As reported by BBCAn artist has knitted a naked Chris Martin doll in the hope that it will find its way to the bandleader over the weekend. Sandra Witcombe spent 10 hours making the doll and presented it to a festival organiser with a letter for Martin.

“It was packed in a box with a letter to Chris explaining that we did it for fun,” said Witcombe. “We asked him, if he thought it was possible, to take a photo with it so we could raise money for our cause.”

It’s for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance cause, which the Hive Cafe in Somerset, England, has been raising money for. Witcombe has created five other nude creations for the cafe’s window in the name of the cause, which have become known locally as the Hive Five.

The doll itself is holding a microphone and wearing only a necklace, earrings, bracelet and booties that say “Coldplay.” In case you were wondering, Coldplay was – excuse me – censored in the online photos. Check it out below.

In addition to their performance at Glastonbury, Coldplay are preparing for the release of their new album. Moon Music this autumn, with the single “feelslikeimfallinginlove” which is only a few days old.
