What to pack when traveling to Europe to see Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s record-breaking “Eras Tour” has attracted Swifties from around the world who are traveling abroad in droves to see the superstar in concert.

I was lucky enough to be in Edinburgh for nights two and three a few weeks ago and am trying to figure out how I can get in one more concert before the Eras tour ends in December.

Here are half a dozen essentials I packed that I highly recommend you take with you if you’re going to one of their European concerts. They’ll serve you well at any of their shows, but they’ll be especially useful in the UK where the weather is unpredictable and can change from moment to moment.

These earplugs are a must-have because they protect your hearing without affecting your concert experience. In stadiums with 50,000 to 100,000 people, the noise can be deafening—in some cities, it has even caused seismic activity—and dangerous. The hood provides extra protection that you’ll really appreciate, especially if you’re not sitting in a weather-protected area. It packs away easily and will likely become your travel rain jacket. Because they’re so stylish and comfortable, these sneakers would be amazing even if they weren’t waterproof. However, the fact that they are takes them to a whole new level and makes them essential for travel. I was able to stand in them for 3 ½ hours and wasn’t worried when it started to drizzle a little because these beauties are 100% WATERPROOF. They come in eight colors, but I just love the marble white (don’t worry – they’re machine washable too). Everyone should own a pair. Price: $125

Friendship bracelets are a defining symbol of the Eras Tour, and this kit includes everything you need to make an armful of them to wear and swap at the concerts.
