“Eras Tour” director Sam Wrench unveils production banner

Sam Wrench, who directed Taylor Swift’s hit concert tour film, is opening his own production company, Next of Kin Content, with Jeff Zucker-backed Ever Wonder Studio as a financier and joint venture partner.

After Taylor Swift: The Era Tour The film grossed $267 million at the worldwide box office, paving the way for a concert film boom in Hollywood. Wrench has opened the doors of his own production company, focusing on culture-focused live events, documentaries and improvised programs.

Terms of EverWonder Studio’s investment were not disclosed, but the content company is now backed by Jeff Zucker’s RedBird IMI. Next of Kin Content plans to develop live specials and traditional formats in music and other genres. Wrench has also directed Grammy and Emmy-nominated music specials, including Billie Eilish live at the O2 Arena for Apple TV+ and Lizzo: Live in concert And Brandi Carlile: At Canyon Haze Live for Max.

“Sam is exceptionally well-versed in a range of genres and styles, and his work drives the beat of pop culture,” said Mike Antinoro, president of EverWonder Studio, of Wrench. The director, who will also helm the upcoming concert film Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebrationwelcomed the connection with EverWonder Studio.

EverWonder Studio is led by producer and CEO Ian Orefice and focuses on nonfiction with global appeal.
