Bindi Irwin publishes new children’s book on species conservation (exclusive)

Bindi Irwin is communicating the importance of wildlife conservation to new audiences.

The 25-year-old conservationist will publish her first children’s book in early 2025. You are a Wildlife Warrior!: Saving Animals and the Planet will be published soon by Random House Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books.

In her new book, Irwin, the daughter of the late conservationist and The Crocodile Hunter personality Steve Irwin, teaches an important lesson about protecting the planet and its creatures, according to the book’s description. With illustrations by Ramona Kaulitzki, the book takes readers to the Australia Zoo, where they meet the many animal residents – including lemurs, rhinos, kangaroos and crocodiles – and learn more about their habitats and conservation.

You are a fighter for the animal world! The book also includes fun animal facts and exclusive photos of the Irwin family and continues to support Irwin’s mission of animal welfare and species conservation.

Irwin, who has a three-year-old daughter, Grace, with her husband Chandler Powell, also says the book is especially important to her because it ensures her conservation message reaches a new group of young readers.

“This generation of children holds the key to a better future for our planet and I hope my book inspires them to value the environment and work to ensure our world remains a safe and happy place for all living things,” she says. “Sharing my book with Grace and now with the world is one of the greatest and most meaningful moments of my life.”
