What is the second live-action season of One Piece about?
One Piece Live Action Season 2 is the sequel to the Netflix adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga and anime series One Piece.
It is expected to tell the story of the Arabasta saga, in which the Straw Hat Pirates experience their first adventure on the Grand Line and new characters and villains are introduced.
The first season of the live-action film premiered on Netflix on August 31, 2023. This first chapter, consisting of eight episodes, introduced the main characters and laid the narrative foundation for the series.
Season 1 follows the events that took place during the East Blue Saga, the very first storyline of the Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga.

Versatile actor David Dastmalchian takes on the role of Mr. 3 in the live-action adaptation of One Piece. Mr. 3 is a scheming wax sculptor who ate the Wax-Wax Devil Fruit, giving him the unique ability to manipulate wax and even transform himself into a malleable material!
Known for his ability to bring quirky characters, both good and evil, to life, David seems perfectly suited for the role. His impressive filmography includes appearances in superhero films such as Ant-Man and The Suicide Squad, as well as critically acclaimed films such as Oppenheimer, Blade Runner 2049 and Dune.
Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5
Camrus Johnson, a cast member in the second season of One Piece Live Action, plays the character Mr. 5, a dynamic fighter specializing in explosions who is empowered by the devil fruit Bomu Bomu no Mi, which transforms him into a human bomb.
His ability allows him to explode any part of his body, from his limbs to his breath, and gives him immunity to explosions.
Camrus, an African-American actor known for his role as Batwing in “Batwoman,” has appeared in various television series such as “Unproductive” and “The Cobblestone Corridor.”
Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine
Miss Valentine, played by actress Jazzara Jaslyn, is a flamboyant agent of Baroque Works. Her devil fruit, Kilo Kilo no Mi, grants her the power to manipulate her weight at will, from just one kilogram to an incredible 10,000 kilograms.
Thanks to this ability, she can perform incredible feats, such as surviving falls from great heights by becoming as light as a feather or crushing opponents by rapidly increasing her mass.
Jazzara hails from Cape Town, South Africa and is an actress who began her film career in A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits. Aside from this film, she has also appeared in television shows such as Professionals and Lioness.
Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9
Rising star Daniel Lasker brings to life Mr. 9, a bounty hunter secretly working for Baroque Works. His signature weapons are a pair of combinable metal bats.
Mr. 9’s fighting style is all about acrobatics and using the unexpected nature of his hidden weapons to gain an advantage.
In addition to his work as Mr. 9, Daniel has also appeared in popular shows such as “Raised By Wolves” and “Noughts and Crosses”.
Clive Russell as Crocus
Game of Thrones star Clive Russell has joined the cast of One Piece season 2, playing Crocus, a skilled doctor and loyal guardian of Laboon, a giant whale mourning his lost crew. He is responsible for maintaining the Twin Cape Lighthouse and guiding ships through the dangerous entrance to the Grand Line. Crocus also has an adventurous past.
Clive is a Scottish actor with a commanding presence. The cast member of the second season of One Piece Live Action has had a successful career, especially on British television. You may know him from his roles as a detective such as Chief Inspector Frederick Abberline in the Victorian crime drama Ripper Street.
He also brought warmth and humor to Angus O’Connor in the Scottish sitcom Happiness. His best-known role internationally is that of Brynden Tully, the skillful patriarch of House Tully in the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones.
Brendan Murray as Brogy

Canadian actor Brendan is known for his roles as Victor in the science fiction series Dark Matter and as the younger version of the character Sam Butcher in the series The Boys.
Werner Coetser as Dorry
Werner Coetser joins the cast of the second season of One Piece Live Action as Dorry, another impressive giant warrior from Elbaf and co-captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates alongside Brogy. Dorry possesses tremendous strength and a huge sword.
Werner Coetser is an actor from South Africa. He is known for his roles in dramas, particularly as Blitz in Getroud met rugby and as Bernard Jordaan in 7de Laan.
Release date of the second live-action season of One Piece
Netflix has not yet announced the official release date of the second live-action season of One Piece.
While there is no official release date yet for One Piece’s live-action season 2, filming reportedly began in June 2024 and news suggests a launch sometime in 2025.
