  • The monthly Explore Pequot Lakes business meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 8 a.m. at Tamarack Creative, 21095 Bergquist Drive, near City Hall.

The meeting will run from 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., with a presentation beginning at 8:00 a.m. The meeting is hosted by the Pequot Lakes Chamber, but is open to all business owners, managers and key employees regardless of chamber membership.

  • The Brainerd Lakes Chamber aims to recognize outstanding young professionals between the ages of 18 and 39 who live and work in the Brainerd Lakes region.

Hosted by the WAVE Young Professionals Network – a program of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber – the Four Under 40 Awards recognize the talent, ambition and achievements of young leaders who are shaping the future of the community. Honorees inspire others to strive for excellence and make a positive impact in their chosen fields and beyond.

The Chamber invites individuals, businesses and community organizations to nominate a worthy young professional for the Four Under 40 Award. The four winners will be honored at the awards gala on September 19.

Of the four winners, one will be named Young Professional of the Year live at the event.

The award criteria include:

  • Professional Excellence: Nominees should demonstrate outstanding achievement in their profession and a high level of expertise and performance.
  • Leadership qualities: Nominees should possess strong leadership qualities and inspire and motivate others to succeed.
  • Community Involvement: Nominees should be actively involved in their community and volunteer their time and talents to support local causes and organizations.
  • Potential for future success: Nominees should have potential for further success and leadership in their careers and communities.
