Grayce secures .4 million in Series A funding to expand its family care solutions offering

Grayce has announced the successful closing of a $10.4 million Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Maveron and supported by a number of investors, including BBG Ventures and Correlation Ventures. Grayce plans to use the new funds to expand its digital platform designed to support families caring for their loved ones.

Founded in San Francisco, Grayce has developed a comprehensive social care platform that combines digital tools with the expertise of social workers, providing a cutting-edge solution in the family care space. The platform fills a critical gap in the current care ecosystem, especially given the ongoing staffing crises in the health, child and elder care sectors.

Julia Cohen Sebastien, co-founder and CEO of Grayce, said: “At Grayce, we are committed to addressing the critical shortage of skilled workers in healthcare, childcare and eldercare, while meeting the growing demand for this care resulting from changing demographics and rising rates of illness and disability.” She added: “We recognize that millions of people are facing new care needs and responsibilities, and our goal is to enable them to succeed by providing them with help navigating the challenges of caregiving, as well as personalized practical and emotional support.”

Each Grayce member benefits from the consultation of a dedicated social worker who coordinates a comprehensive package of services, from planning and prioritizing care needs to identifying resources and advocating on behalf of members. This intensive, personal approach is complemented by a digital platform that provides educational content, access to a peer community, and a marketplace of resources, ensuring a completely personalized experience.

With the new influx of capital, Grayce now aims to further build out its platform and expand its services into payer markets to increase its reach and deepen its impact. The company also plans to continue investing in data-driven personalization and expand its offerings by strengthening community and content access to enable members to more effectively manage their specific care challenges.

Jason Stoffer, General Partner at Maveron, commented: “Grayce’s combination of human touch and user-friendly technology is transforming the way families approach their caregiving responsibilities,” he says. “Grayce’s care solution is having a lasting impact as people struggle with various caregiving challenges, and we are inspired to support this next phase of their growth journey.”
