Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar confirms her relationship with Christian Nodal despite his recent separation

Just over two weeks after Christian Nodal announced his split from Cazzu, the Mexican singer-songwriter is now dating Àngela Aguilar.

On Monday, Pepe Aguilar’s 20-year-old daughter confirmed her relationship with 25-year-old Nodal in an exclusive interview with HOLA!

“It’s not a new relationship, it’s the continuation of a story where life made us pause so we could grow and miss each other,” the singers told the publication. “Because when we let go, we became even closer.”

The publication also published photos of the couple. In one of the photos, Nodal can be seen hugging Aguilar and kissing her on the neck.

Aguilar and Nodal have also collaborated musically. The two released their duet “Dime Cómo Quieres” in 2020, when she was 17 and Nodal was 21.

The couple’s new romance comes two weeks after Nodal and Argentine rapper and singer Cazzu announced their split in an emotional social media post.

“It is time to announce that Juileta and I are going our separate ways,” Nodal wrote in Spanish on his Instagram stories on May 23. “Our love and respect for each other remains strong, especially in our roles as parents to our wonderful daughter Inti. I am deeply grateful for the moments we shared and will always cherish these memories.”

The news came eight months after the singers welcomed a daughter in September 2023.

Nodal later spoke about his relationship with Aguilar in a long video on Instagram.

“I know many of you learned today that Àngela and I are officially in a relationship,” Nodal said, adding that he wanted to provide some context out of respect for his former partner Cazzu. “First of all, (Cazzu) is someone I love and has my respect for the rest of my life.”

“We are public figures, we are artists… but love doesn’t always work out. Our time together ended in the best possible way. It was a love that gave us the most precious gift in life,” he continued, adding that he will always love and care for their daughter.

Nodal then addressed the rumors that he was unfaithful in his previous relationship with Cazzu.

“There was no infidelity. Sometimes love just doesn’t work out and now I’m living a beautiful experience with a woman I love and with a love that took so many years to become what it is today,” he added, referring to his relationship with Aguilar.

Cazzu, born Julieta Emilia Cazzuchelli, reposted Nodal’s message on her Instagram stories in May and wrote a follow-up message addressing the split.

“Artists are a canvas for what happens in real life. You walk with us through love, heartbreak, successes and mistakes,” Cazzu wrote in Spanish. “Today, as many times before and as will happen many times, you walk with us, some with hate and others with a lot of love. Thank you. Everything heals.”

In an interview with Billboard in March, Nodal reflected on how his touring life has changed since starting a family with the “Maléfica” singer.

“I remember the times when I came down from the stage and felt alone,” Nodal said at the time. “Now I come down to a stroller with my baby in it and everything seems perfect. … When she was born, I was exhausted. I don’t know how I managed to change diapers, but she gives me energy, motivation and strength.”

Nodal and Cazzu started dating in 2022.

Before Cazzu, Nodal dated Latin pop singer Belinda for a few months before they got engaged in May 2021. In February 2022, the two announced the end of their relationship.
