Taylor Swift has apparently hit back at Dave Grohl for suggesting that she and her band not play live on their Eras tour.

The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman told the audience at his concert in London on Saturday (June 22) that he called his band’s show the “Errors Tour” because they had “a few more eras and more than a few damn mistakes” because “we actually play live.”

Swift, 34, appeared to respond to Grohl’s reference onstage at her show at Wembley on Sunday night (June 23) as she thanked fans for attending her three-and-a-half-hour performance.

Speaking to the 90,000 people who filled the stadium for her third London performance as part of the Eras tour, Swift said her band deserved “so much” recognition.

She told her fans: “What you have just done is an unforgettable moment not only in my life, but in the life of every single one of our crew members. The band that will be playing live for you tonight for three and a half hours.

“You deserve this so much, as does every one of my castmates, and you have given this to us so generously. We will never forget it.”

Swift fans have criticized Grohl for his joke about the pop star and her band. “Oh Tayvoodoo is after him and he deserves it,” one person wrote on X/Twitter. “I can’t stand that a woman is more talented and successful.”

Another fan added: “Wow Grohl is so washed up he has to use Taylor’s name for free PR? Embarrassing, thought he was better, such a shame.”

Elsewhere during the third night of the Eras tour, Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance on stage during the song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” by The “Tortured Poets” section album and posed as one of Swift’s background dancers.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kelce was seen wearing a tuxedo and a black top hat before walking toward Swift, who was playing dead on the stage floor.

While it’s usually one of the backing dancers who lifts Swift up and carries her across the stage at concerts, this time her boyfriend took the reins. After setting Swift down on a red couch, he joined in the performative performance that introduced her next song, “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”

While two background dancers held Swift’s arms and legs up, Kelce held a white fan, which he used on himself and then on his girlfriend to wake her up.

“That was NOT on my bingo card,” one fan responded, while another said, “That’s a superstar duo I wasn’t expecting!”
