Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift avoided security and entourage to be close to her friends and family

Travis Kelce can’t stop raving about his girlfriend – and remembers the sweet moments when he realized he was falling in love with her.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is very supportive of his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift. The couple has been dating for about a year but made it Instagram official on Sunday, June 23, with a picture of the two posing with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Travis then wowed the London crowd on the third night of the Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium when he performed a skit onstage during The Tortured Poets Department’s performance. Travis is usually seen cheering in the VIP tent, backstage or in a suite with friends and family.

The football star spoke about his relationship with the pop star on the Barstool Sports podcast “Bussin’ with the Boys.”

In the Monday, June 24 episode, Travis talked about the moment he fell in love with Taylor.

He said: “I think that’s why I really fell in love with her, because she’s so genuine with friends (and) family. It can get crazy for someone with so much attention, and she just stays so laid back and cool, and I can definitely admire that.”

The singer “really captured Travis’ heart” when she walked through the front door wanting to “be with family and friends and experience this with everyone” instead of hiding from security in the NFL suites at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears last September. Travis planned to have everything ready for her, but she surprised him.

Travis also let people know that he is not afraid to conquer his woman.

He said: “It’s like you want to keep things private, but at the same time I’m not here to hide anything… this is my girl, this is my wife, I’m proud of that.”

The two have been very supportive of each other. Taylor attended 13 of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs’ games last season, including the team’s Super Bowl victory, which she flew to from Japan. Travis took part in his first Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in July 2023. Since then, he has visited a total of six cities, flying back and forth to support his beloved.
