Steak Boss? Buddy Valastro’s son Marco prepares his “famous Filet Mignon” and receives rave reviews

Marco Valastro proudly follows in his father’s footsteps.

The 13-year-old son of Cake Boss Star Buddy Valastro took control of the family’s kitchen over the weekend to prepare seared filet mignon, as seen in a 13-minute video shared on Buddy’s Instagram.

“Hello, I’m Marco Valastro and I love cooking steaks. Today I’m going to prepare my famous filet mignon,” the teenager says to the camera in the family’s home in New Jersey.

Marco then explains step by step how to prepare the steak together with a red wine sauce, which he proudly describes as “quite tasty”.

After Marco finishes preparing the food, he calls 43-year-old Buddy over to look at the final product.

“It smells incredible,” says Buddy, telling his son that the steak is “perfectly cooked.”

“Did your mom teach you that or did I?” the celebrity chef asks jokingly.

“You two,” Marco replies.

As the father-son duo enjoys their meal together, Buddy says to Marco, “I’m really proud of you, son.”

“I have to tell you, this guy is pretty good,” Buddy adds, smiling at the camera.

Buddy has four children with his wife Lisa: Marco, Sofia, 17, Buddy Jr., 16, and Carlo, 9.
