Travis Kelce raves about Taylor Swift’s “sentimental” songs and names his favorites
In the podcast “Bussin’ With The Boys,” Travis Kelce revealed which Taylor Swift hits are among his top 3 and which songs are more valuable to him than others
Travis Kelce made sure he had his favorite Taylor Swift songs ready.
During an appearance on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast with NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, the Kansas City Chiefs star was asked what it feels like to be dating the biggest pop star in the world right now. During their conversation, the three discussed which of Swift’s songs are their favorites, choosing just a handful from her extensive catalog.
“I started listening to Taylor’s music when she came out in 1989,” Kelce told Compton and Lewan about his history with Swift’s music before explaining his No. 1 hit. “I would say Blank Space because… it’s a smash.”

And because he and Swift are the same age, it was easier for him to develop feelings for her and it was an easy way for the two to get to know each other. “We were the same age, I knew who Taylor was in high school when she was just starting her career,” he added. “But then in 1989, things really started to get crazy.”
After Kelce explained his number one song, he revealed what his second favorite Swift song was. “Cruel Summer is one of the songs that she opens her show with, and then when she comes out, it’s eclectic. I was so excited when that happened at the very first show I went to,” said the star tight end.
For his final choice, Kelce chose a song from Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” “I say ‘So High School,'” he said. “I think ‘So High School’ has a little bit of a sentimental meaning, I guess… ‘You know how to play, I know Aristotle,’ man.”
Compton then teased Kelce about his final song choice, claiming that he “features” on the song, to which Kelce sheepishly replied, “I think so.”
Despite Swift’s popularity, Kelce praises Swift for keeping a cool head and not letting fame go to her head. “So much attention can drive you crazy, but she stays so calm and cool, and I really admire that,” he told Compton and Lewan.
Overall, Kelce’s tips were part of a longer conversation the 34-year-old had with Compton and Lewan. Interestingly, the section where Kelce talks about Swift was leaked on social media, and fans immediately surrounded the clip to hear what Kelce had to say about Swift.
After the clip was “leaked,” Compton explained on X, with a hint of joking in his tone, what might have happened. “Absolutely no idea how this leaked,” Compton posted on social media shortly after the clip was released. “We are working on uploading the episode shortly, but the Swifties have infiltrated our cybersecurity system.”
Compton then added that, given all the attention the podcast has received from Swift’s fans, he might be the pop megastar’s newest fan. “With the support this podcast episode with Travis is getting, I might have to become a Swiftie,” he added.
