Robert De Niro plays her office girl for everything in the upcoming comedy, The internbut Anne Hathaway has revealed that she is also familiar with hard work in real life.

The 32-year-old Oscar winner told ET that she learned how to serve latte macchiato like a pro while preparing for the role of Andy Sachs in “The Last Man” in 2006. The devil Wears Prada.

“I worked at Christie’s for a few weeks and prepared myself The devil Wears Pradabringing people coffee and doing whatever needed to be done in the office,” Hathaway said of the world-famous art auction house. “It was incredible. I saw wonderful art and everyone was really nice. It was great.”

In The internIn “The Last Man,” De Niro plays 70-year-old Ben Whittaker, who finds that retirement isn’t quite what he expected, so he returns to the professional world and takes a job as a senior intern at an online fashion store founded and run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway).

Co-stars Andrew Rannells and Adam Levine also chatted with ET about previous internships.

“I interned at a pretty horrible talent agency in college,” Rannells recalls. “It wasn’t the best time of my life. They were pretty mean. I had to fax headshots, so that’s a little old-fashioned.”

“What a terrible story,” Levine said jokingly.

“Maybe I didn’t understand what an internship was,” Rannells admitted. “I think I didn’t know what the rules were.”

Levine worked at the Improv Comedy Club in Los Angeles, where he said his duties included getting coffee for the crowd and “drugs for the comedians.”

“That seems right,” Rannells joked.

The intern will be in theaters on September 25th.
