Michael Jackson’s family honors him 15 years after his death

Fifteen years after Michael Jackson’s death at the age of 50, his family members pay tribute to the late King of Pop.

Jackson’s son Prince, 27, posted an Instagram story with the message “Miss you dad. The world felt better with you in it” alongside a photo of the musician in a crowd of young singers.

The “Smooth Criminal” singer’s sister, La Toya Jackson, also paid tribute to her brother on Instagram, posting a slideshow with numerous iconic photos of him, accompanied by his 1993 song “Gone Too Soon.” “You changed the world in so many ways with such exuberant talent!!! We love you! We will always miss you!” she wrote in her caption. “Gone too soon! I miss you and will always love you.”

MJ’s brother Tito Jackson, who was the bassist for the Jackson 5, also commemorated the anniversary of his sibling’s death and posted a black-and-white photo of the singer with several hashtags, including “15 years without Michael Jackson,” “gone too soon,” “always in our hearts,” and “miss you very much.”

His brother Jackie Jackson, guitarist of the Jackson 5, also paid tribute to Michael on Instagram. “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you,” he wrote next to a photo of himself with the young Michael. “We miss you every day.”

In his own post, Tito’s son TJ Jackson wrote: “I miss you so much Uncle Michael. Thank you for everything you did for me. I will always feel like the luckiest nephew to have you as an eternal source of strength, guidance and love. I love you forever.”

Jackson is the subject of the highly anticipated biopic Michael by Antoine Fuqua, which is scheduled to be released in 2025. The singer is played by his nephew Jaafar, the son of Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson.
