A book about the murder of four University of Idaho Students in their off-campus homes provide new insight into the brutal massacre that shocked the nation.

In “When The Night Comes Falling: A Requiem for the Idaho Student Murders,” reporter Howard Blum writes about why Bryan Kohbeger allegedly murdered these four students: Madison Mogen21; Goncalves, 21; Xana Kernodle20; and Ethan Chapin, 20.

The book, which hit bookstores on Tuesday, also contains a chronology of the alleged murders that took place in the city of Moscow.

Kohberger will be tried for the murders, but probably not anytime soon, as the possible start of the trial keeps getting pushed back. If Kohberger is convicted of a murder charge at the end of the trial, he could face the death penalty.

The 29-year-old, who was working on his doctorate in criminology at Washington State University before the murders, told a former public defender he expected to be acquitted at trial. He declined to enter a confession in the case after he was formally charged with quadruple murder last year. The judge in the case entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
