Welcome Chris Brown: Snoqualmie’s new deputy fire chief

The Town of Snoqualmie was introduced to Chris Brown, the new Deputy Fire Chief, at the Town Council meeting on June 24, 2024.

Fire Chief Mike Baily introduced Brown to the community and elected officials. In keeping with fire department tradition, Mayor Ross presented Brown with his new helmet and his wife pinned his new badge.

Deputy Chief Brown brings over twenty years of experience as a firefighter. His distinguished career includes 20 years in the United States Air Force, during which he served in various locations including Alaska, Florida, Honduras, and England, terminating his service as a Deputy Chief.

Most recently, Brown served as the training director at the Washington State Fire Training Academy for the past two years. He and his family live in the Snoqualmie Valley, which makes his new role extra special.

“I think Chris will bring some great things and bring a lot of energy to the department”, said Chief Bailey during the introduction. “I look forward to working with him at the fire department.”

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the next Deputy Chief of the Snoqualmie Fire Department,” Brown said in his address to the City Council and Mayor. “After 20 years in the Air Force and several years at the Academy, I look forward to bringing all of my experience, knowledge and everything I have in my toolbox to the department.”

Deputy Chief Brown will officially begin his service with the Snoqualmie Fire Department on July 1, 2024.
