Book order of “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins

Book order of “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins

On September 14, 2008, Suzanne Collins introduced Panem to the world with The hunger Games. It was a brutal world where every year citizens from each of the twelve districts volunteered two of their children to fight to the death in the Capital Games. And if no one volunteered, two were chosen at random.

The story was fast-paced and action-packed. But what really captivated readers was Katniss Everdeen and her absolute refusal to give the Capital any piece of her. Katniss wasn’t playing to win. She was doing it to protect her sister, and if the Capital wanted to kill her, they weren’t going to make it easy.

This rebellious attitude, fueled by love and fed by hate, created an enigmatic protagonist who was hard to root for. Katniss never tried to convince you that she was worth your time, and by simply being raw, real, and with no regrets for either, she is utterly compelling.

After the original trilogy (and four film adaptations), the world still couldn’t get enough of Panem. Fortunately, Collins decided to expand the world in the fourth book. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was released on May 19, 2020 and will premiere on November 17, 2022. The film takes audiences on a 64-year journey through time and tells how Cornelius Snow finally came to power.

Earlier this month, Scholastic and Collins announced that there would be a fifth Hunger Games Book. This time we travel 24 years before the games with Katniss and Peeta, to the fiftieth Hunger Games.

If you missed the worldwide phenomenon, The hunger Gamesor looking for a refresher, here’s everything we know about the new novel, whether there will be a movie, and a quick recap of the entire series.

Much like the first trilogy, the prequel adaptation is a spectacular mix of familiar, highly acclaimed actors and emerging new talent. Tom Blyth plays Cornelius Snow, who is brought in as a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird (played by Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler). Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman and Hunter Schafer also star in various roles. It’s a stunning return to the world that shows us a version of the Capitol, the games and characters that shaped the Panem that Katniss was born into and that subsequently burned to the ground.

what is Sunrise on harvest day Around?

Not much is known about the new book other than the title. What we do know, however, is fascinating: It is set 24 years before the games that Katniss volunteered for. In the second quarter, the Capitol announced that double the number of tributes would be selected. One of those tributes was Haymitch Abernathy of District 12, who ended up winning.

Although it hasn’t been explicitly stated that the book will be Haymitch’s storyline, it’s safe to assume that it will be, and even more likely when the official description states that the novel “begins on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games.”

Haymitch played a crucial role in helping Katniss survive both Hunger Games and find her place as the rebellious Mockingjay. He never got to talk about what the Games were like for him, but we got glimpses of how deeply they traumatized him and the devastating price he had to pay for victory. It’s possible the book will start again with President Snow, but we hope Haymitch finally gets to tell his story.

Sunrise on harvest day will be released on March 18, 2025.

Will there be another movie?

Given the enormous success of the previous books and films, it is no surprise that Sunrise on harvest day A film is currently being prepared. The adaptation is also being produced by Lionsgate and once again the return of director Francis Lawrence is expected. The premiere of the film is scheduled for November 20, 2026.
