“I canceled my membership completely,” complains Sam’s Club customer as the chain makes changes to delivery

“I canceled my membership completely,” complains Sam’s Club customer as the chain makes changes to delivery

SAM’S Club members expect that a policy change will result in additional costs for them.

Some come to the conclusion that their membership is no longer worthwhile.

A membership change coming in August will mean some members will lose an important benefit.

Currently, Sam’s Club Plus members receive free shipping on all their orders.

Soon, shipping will only be free on orders over $50.

There is a delivery fee of $8 for orders under $50.

The change will come into effect on August 19.

BUYERS REACT

A member shared her calculation on Facebook.

“Looks like I’m upgrading to a regular membership.”

She justified this by saying that the difference in benefits between a normal membership and a Plus membership would be reduced after the change.

A Plus membership costs $110 per year.

A regular membership now costs $50.

Other Facebook users commented on the change.

“Maybe I need to rethink it!” said one.

“I canceled my membership completely, I never saved enough to pay the membership fee,” claimed another.

MEMBER MADNESS

Sam’s Club and its competitor Costco are two major supermarket chains that face criticism from their members.

A Sam’s Club member recently sharply criticized the company’s offer.

They said it was “like the DMV.”

Some customers prefer Sam’s Club to Costco because of its checkout options.

Some complained that the buns at Costco had changed.

Costco is closed on July 4th.
