The Club SFO: Great new Priority Pass Lounge

The Club SFO: Great new Priority Pass Lounge

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is getting a new Priority Pass lounge starting tomorrow, Zach Griff announced. Not only is this great because it offers more lounge capacity, but the lounge also looks really good.

Details of Club SFO at Harvey Milk Terminal 1

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, The Club SFO will open in Harvey Milk Terminal 1. The lounge will be open daily from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It is located after security, just outside Gate B4, across from Mills Cargo (stay left after security).

The Club is a lounge group owned by Airport Dimensions with 20 locations across the U.S. I haven’t been a huge fan of The Club locations before, but this lounge looks much nicer than the rest.

Club SFO is over 12,000 square feet and can accommodate nearly 250 guests. The lounge offers plenty of seating in different areas depending on whether you want to relax, eat, drink or work. There is even a spa area for yoga as well as a shower suite.

You can see some pictures of the lounge below. Honestly, I think the club locations usually look like doctor’s office waiting rooms, so this is a huge improvement. Hopefully it represents a new direction for the lounge network.

The entry requirements for Club SFO

The Club is an independent group of airport lounges. Access to these lounges is usually provided by Priority Pass. Access to the lounge is available up to three hours before the scheduled departure time of a flight. In addition to Priority Pass, you can also purchase a day pass to the lounge for $75.

I imagine crowding will be an issue here, considering how many people are Priority Pass members and that there aren’t many accessible lounges at the airport, so the lounge plans to introduce a waiting list system using a QR code for situations where space is full.

As for access, Terminal 1 is used by Alaska, American, and JetBlue, among others. There are also airside connections, so you can at least connect to some of the other terminals airside (does anyone know the current restrictions on how far you can get from Terminal 1 to airside, as I understand there have been some changes recently?).

Bottom line

Club SFO will open on June 26, 2024. The 12,000 square foot lounge will accommodate nearly 250 people. Not only is it exciting to have a Priority Pass lounge in Harvey Milk Terminal 1, but it really looks like the best lounge we’ve seen at the club so far. I look forward to checking it out at some point.
