Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans team up to save Santa Claus in the trailer for “Red One”

The days when Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye used gentle means to save the Columbia Inn are long gone.

In their place, we have Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans kicking ass and taking names (and checking them twice) to save none other than not-so-funny old St. Nick (JK Simmons, who has never acted funny in his life).

Johnson is the head of security at the North Pole, and when Santa Claus, also known as the Red One, is kidnapped under his watch, he must enlist the help of the world’s greatest bounty hunter (Evans). However, this hunter is a bit of a Grinch – he literally steals candy from a baby and is on the Level 4 naughty list.

The unlikely duo travel the world in search of Red One, encountering Krampus, some scary snowmen in jackets, Lucy Liu with her pony, and—something tells us—the Ghost of Christmas along the way.

Director: Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: The Next Level) and written by Chris Morgan (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) from a story by Hiram Garcia (Young Rock), Red One also with Bonnie Hunt, Kiernan Shipka, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll and Wesley Kimmel.
