Chris Rock reportedly not happy about slapping scene in “Bad Boys 4”: “Cheap stunt”

Chris Rock is reportedly not happy with Will Smith’s new film, Bad guys: ‘Ride or Die’.

Rock is reportedly still not over the slap he received from Smith at the Oscars. There is a “slapping scene” in the new film that Rock says “reminds” him of the Oscar incident.

A source close to Rock said: “Chris thinks this is a pretty cheap trick and is telling people how lame he thinks it is,” the source said. “This is a classic case of Will making light of a terrible situation. Will is playing the victim. It was the lowest point of his career, but that is no excuse.”

The source added: “It annoys him that people keep bringing it up. He suffered just as much as Will did and now Will has turned it into a funny scene in his movie. For Chris, it’s further proof that Will is a complete moron who deserves all the crap he’s gotten.”

Chris Rock isn’t the only one who believes Smith has some explaining to do. Smith has since apologized to Rock, but sports analyst Stephen A. Smith says that’s just not enough. In a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show As he puts it: “I’m not nearly as interested in seeing Will Smith in movies as I am in seeing him in a real interview with someone explaining why he did what he did,” he said.

“I don’t care if (Blog). I don’t care if it’s with Oprah. Because you know it’s not going to be me, right? He’s not going to sit down with me because some questions are going to be asked. But I don’t care who it is with. You have to provide an explanation as to why this happened. It can’t be that you went to therapy and realized your mistake or that you confronted some of the demons that have been plaguing you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. That’s not good enough! And while we weren’t the ones who literally got slapped in the face, ladies and gentlemen, figuratively the black community got slapped in the face.”

He continued: “We know you wouldn’t have hit Ricky Gervais,” he continued, “Bill Maher, Bill Burr or a whole host of others. We know you wouldn’t have done that. No apology necessary. I’m just saying a lot of people don’t get over it. A lot of people find it hard to go to the movies just to see you. I’m one of those people and I’ve never missed a Will Smith movie.”

The film grossed $104.6 million worldwide on its opening weekend.
