Local authors host book launch and book signing at Mexico Chamber of Commerce – KXEO

Two local residents have teamed up to write their first book: “Making Bird Friendly Birdhouses.”

Matthew Maguire and Mel Toellner will host a book launch and signing on Wednesday, July 10th.^th at the office of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Books can be purchased and both authors will be happy to sign them upon request.

Refreshments are served, including alcoholic beverages.

Matthew Maguire, a 2005 graduate of Mexico High School, is the shop manager for Songbird Essentials Products here in Mexico.

Matt oversees the manufacturing of over 150 different nesting boxes, feeders and other natural outdoor products for wild birds.

Co-author Mel Toellner commented, “Our family was fortunate when Matthew joined our team a few years ago, and I absolutely could not have written this book without him.”

Toellner continued, “We wrote the book so that someone who simply wants to buy a nest box can use it as a checklist of the features that are critical to the success of the birds that use it.

With Matthew’s instructions, building all 15 projects is easy and fun!”

The event will feature finished examples of most of the projects featured in the book.
