Travis Kelce says he is not hiding his relationship with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce is not afraid to admit that he has a love story with Taylor Swift!

In the latest episode of Barstool Sports’ Kissing with the boys In a podcast released on Tuesday, June 25, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end talked about balancing the private and public aspects of his relationship with the 34-year-old “Fortnight” singer.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce said. “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my wife. So I’m proud of it.”

“So it’s not like I’m sitting here trying to keep this a secret,” he added. “You just don’t want to let everyone know about your private life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything you do makes headlines.”

However, he admitted that while it has been “cool” to see Swifties become NFL and Chiefs fans, the attention can be “crazy” for some, with some fans even driving up to his house to get a glimpse into his personal life with the Grammy winner.

“I enjoyed pretty much every aspect of it. But when you’re at home, you want your privacy and you don’t always have that,” said the professional footballer.

Elsewhere in the interview, the NFL player revealed that he “really fell in love” with the singer when he saw how she handled attending his team’s games and how the Chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl.

“She’s very confident. And I think that’s why I really fell in love with her, just because I saw how genuine she is with friends and family,” he admitted. “So much attention can drive you crazy, but she’s just so laid back and cool.”

“I can certainly admire it,” he added.

Kelce said Swift especially “won him over” when she publicly attended her first Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears on September 24, 2023. He further explained how the “Karma” singer wanted to “be surrounded by family and friends and experience this with everyone” and instead chose to simply walk through the stadium’s front entrance.

The podcast’s release comes after the sports star joined Swift on stage during the London stop of her Eras Tour over the weekend. He surprised fans by accompanying Swift during her outfit change for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” – a segment added following the release of her latest studio album. The “Tortured Poets” sectionon April 19th.

The athlete, dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, filled in for the dancer who usually carries Swift onstage during the segment. He performed alongside her other dancers and pretended to touch up her makeup before leaving the stage.

The couple then celebrated Kelce’s big post-concert performance at London’s trendy Chiltern Firehouse, where they were photographed wearing matching crochet outfits. They stayed at the popular venue until around 4 a.m. local time.

Swift’s next performance is scheduled for June 28-30 in Dublin, Ireland.
