Margie M. Love, 87, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG – A memorial service for Margie M. Love, 87, of Ogdensburg will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Fox & Murray Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Fitchette officiating.

Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Love passed away peacefully at her home in Ogdensburg on June 22, 2024.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Barr of Watertown, NY, her stepsister Shirley Trzaskos of Albany, her stepbrother Arthur Leblanc and his wife Ramona of Georgia, her daughter Lucinda Ganz of Ogdensburg, NY, her stepson Dean Love and his wife Rebecca, her stepgranddaughter Amber Love and her husband Alex Gubert of Virginia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Frances Durant and Joyce Powers, her brother Jack Frederick, her stepbrother Renee La Blanc and her stepsisters Annette Leblanc, Rita Charlton and Alice Warren.

Margie was born on December 9, 1936 in Potsdam, New York, to Mary Helen Lenore Dake and George Frederick.

She married Gene L. Love on May 30, 1986 in Morristown, NY.

Her passion for jewelry design developed into her favorite activity in her later years, in which she excelled.

Out of compassion for pets, she adopted many cats over the course of her life, who brought decades of joy to her family. She will be sorely missed.
