Trailer for Apple TV+’s coming-of-age superpower series ME — GeekTyrant

Apple TV+ has released a trailer for its upcoming family series titled Mewhich is described as a “sublime cinematic coming-of-age story” about a child with superpowers.

The story follows a 12-year-old boy named Ben who is in the midst of middle school (complete with bullies, crushes, and school dances!) while adjusting to a new blended family AND realizing he has superpowers.

In the ten-part series, “Ben embarks on a journey of self-discovery and learns what it really means to have superpowers. He finds an ally in his stepsister Max, who helps him harness those powers and uncover the secrets behind the mysteries and tragedies of his community… all while trying to come to terms with what it means to be Ben.”

The series was written by the screenwriter Barry L. Levy (Viewpoint), who is also the showrunner. The main roles in the series are played by Lucian River Chauhan as Ben Vasani, Abigail Pniowsky as Max Davis, Dilshad Vadsaria as Elizabeth Vasani, Amanda Reid as Carter Kennedy and Jessy Yates as Morgan. Guest stars are Kyle Howard as Phil Davis and Sharif Atkins as Darren Kennedy.

The show doesn’t seem to be anything special, just another one of those uninteresting stories about someone with superpowers. But maybe some young viewers will like it!

The series is scheduled to premiere on July 12, 2024 on Apple TV+.
