The Gastonia Baseball Club seized its opportunity last week to take control of the South Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
After a sweep of rival High Point and a subsequent series win in Charleston, West Virginia, Gastonia is four games ahead as the new week of play begins on June 25. GBC’s 37-16 record is the best in the ALPB.
The York Revolution currently have the longest winning streak in the league, winning six games in a row. Their 35-18 record puts them two games behind Gastonia, the ALPB’s best finish, and nine games ahead of reigning league champions Lancaster, who have lost five games in a row.
Here is a quick recap of the Gastonia Baseball Club’s past week of play.
