Billy Ray Cyrus claims Firerose begged him to take her back after he filed for divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus claims his estranged wife Firerose begged for his return in a love letter just days after he filed for divorce. The singer made the revelation after accusing him of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” in a recent court filing.

“I miss you more than I can express, baby,” reads the handwritten letter, which Page Six exclusively obtained from Cyrus’ camp. “Please let’s work this out and only get closer through this hellish experience.”

“I need you. I love you. I’m so sorry.”

Page Six also obtained a long text message that Firerose allegedly sent him after the breakup. “I pray from the bottom of my heart that we will find each other again today,” the message reads. “I feel completely lost and miss you more than I can explain.”

“You have been my best friend in the world every day for over 4 years. 24/7. I miss you terribly,” the text continues. “My heart is broken and I need my best friend now more than ever.”

The “After the Storm” singer reportedly claimed she lost 5 pounds due to the stress of the impending divorce before confessing her love again.

“I don’t want to live without you,” the message continues. “Please give me a chance to make this right. I can explain everything, but I need you by my side.”

When Cyrus, 62, filed for divorce from Firerose, 36, in May, he cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for the separation. He also filed for an annulment of the marriage on the grounds of fraud.

In an amendment to his original divorce petition filed Monday, also obtained by Page Six, Cyrus explains why he believes their marriage was fraudulent.

First, he accused Firerose of lying and claiming she had never been married before him. He also claimed that her last name, “Hodges,” was her ex-husband’s last name, not her father’s.

He therefore argued that the Australian musician had “knowingly, willingly and intentionally deceived” him in order to get his famous surname. On Instagram, she currently still appears under the name Firerose Cyrus.

Cyrus said that if he had known the above information before the wedding, “he would not have entered into the marriage bond… because he didn’t really know her.”

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer also accused Firerose of “running a campaign to isolate him from his family” and even claimed that she blocked “at least one” of his daughters on his phone.

It is believed that his relationship with his daughter Miley Cyrus deteriorated around the time his relationship with Firerose became public.

Miley did not attend her October 2023 wedding, but served as maid of honor at her mother’s wedding to “Prison Break” star Dominic Purcell months earlier.

This new development comes days after Billy filed an emergency motion to stop his ex from using his funds after she allegedly spent nearly $100,000 on his credit card in a matter of weeks.

The team, which also represents Firerose, did not provide comment to Page Six on her behalf.
