Packers QB Jordan Love gets engaged to girlfriend in Italy

Quarterback of the Green Bay Packers Jordan Love will soon be a married man. On Sunday, Love announced on Instagram that he is engaged to his girlfriend Ronika Stone. The couple got engaged in Italy when Love got down on one knee in front of the Castello di Celsa, a castle in Tuscany.

“First step to eternity,” Love wrote while posting a series of photos of the engagement. Love also revealed that he worked with Martina Udicova, a top personal planner in Italy, as well as a boutique travel company, Lilacs & Chai, to pull off the surprise engagement. Stone played college volleyball for the Oregon Ducks and now plays for the professional team San Diego Mojo. It’s not clear how the couple got together, but Love made the relationship public in 2021, according to the ^ “New York Post: The New York Post”.

Love’s engagement with Stone comes after the Packers held their mandatory minicamp earlier this month. The team has some free time before heading to training camp in July. After a successful 2023 season, Love knows he’ll have to do more in his second season as starting QB.

“We know teams are going to have a better sense of what we’re doing and what we’ve done well this year,” Love said this offseason, according to ESPN. “That’s their job — to figure out how to stop that from happening. I think that’s the fun of the NFL.”

“Ultimately, we have a very good coaching staff that will put us in the best position. We will also be able to adapt to what the defense does and what takes away from us, and we will learn on the fly.”

Will the Packers give Jordan Love a new contract?

Love finished the 2023 season with 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and a 96.1 passer rating. Last year, Love signed a one-year contract extension, meaning he will be a free agent if the Packers don’t re-sign him before next offseason. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently said the Packers want to sign Love before this fall.

“So they’re going to try to work something out,” Fowler said. “The Packers would like to get Love on a long-term deal before training camp. That’s their goal. A little bit of pressure on the Packers after all the years of problems and fiascos with Aaron Rodgers. They’d like to have a clean process here just to get this done with Jordan Love.”
