Jesse Lee Soffer has left Chicago Police in season 10 after playing Detective Jay Halstead from the beginning, and now the actor is ready to return to the Dick Wolf universe by joining FBI: InternationalHis involvement follows the surprise departure of Luke Kleintank near the end of season three, and although Soffer will not be reprising his role as Jay, it is still quite exciting. Many of Soffer’s Chicago Police and a total of One Chicago Friends shared the love.
Details about Soffer’s role in the CBS series are still under wraps, but he will be joining the series in a brand new role as a series regular, which is sure to cause a stir for the Fly team. On Instagram, he shared the news with his followers and his excitement for the role, which will be his first project as an actor since PD And several actors from One Chicago were incredibly happy for him in their comments:

Among the commentators were Soffer’s former on-screen wife and partner Tracy Spiridakos and his friend and Intelligence Unit colleague LaRoyce Hawkins. Season four returning star Nick Wechsler also congratulated him. Chicago Med Guest star Jen Landon, among others. (Landon also participated in the FBI Universe for Most Wanted Seasons 2-3.) It’s clear that she, and certainly many others at One Chicago, are happy for him.
Of course, there were many fans among the many commentators who shared their enthusiasm. Regardless of the fact that he will not play PD‘s Jay Halstead about InternationalKnowing that he is finally returning to the big screen is great news and many people are excited about the endless possibilities that this role brings:

Although FBI: International and the other FBI Shows do not air on NBC with One Chicago And law and orderthey take place in the same world. Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton appeared in an episode of FBI in Season 2, where he worked with the 26-person Fed team. It wouldn’t be the first time an actor has appeared in more than one Dick Wolf show as a different character. Most recently Chicago Med Alum Colin Donnell appeared in the third season finale of FBI: International as NSA liaison.
With FBI: International Season 4 will air later this year on CBS in the 2024 television schedule. More information about the season and Jesse Lee Soffer’s role will hopefully be announced soon. It’s likely that he will be the new leader of the Fly team, which means it should be interesting to see how he fares with the team. It will take some time to get used to the show without Luke Kleintank, but Soffer will certainly be a great addition International and it’s clear that a lot of people are excited to see what happens.
